Work experience

Bakhytzhan Taubayev began his career in the oil and gas sector as the Field Drilling Engineer.

He held various senior positions in KMG’s joint projects with the international companies such as KNOC, ONGC, ENI and Lukoil that delivered geological exploration in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.

Former Director of the Gas Industry Department of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, currently holds the position of Co-Managing Director for Strategy and Asset Management at Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
