KazTransGas Aimak JSC, a subsidiary of the national company QazaqGaz, connected the settlements of Kaskasu, Zhogargy Kaskasu, Keregetas, and Kenesaryk in the Tolebi region to natural gas. Thanks to the implementation of this project, the share of settlements supplied with natural gas in the Tolebi region will be 100%.
The ceremony of connecting to the “blue fuel” was attended by Akim of the Turkestan region Darkhan Satybaldy, General Director of KazTransGas Aimak JSC Bauyrzhan Askarov, and residents of settlements.
Currently, 122,732 people live in 55 settlements in the region. Until today, 51 settlements were provided with natural gas, which accounted for 92.7% of all settlements in the Tolebi region. Thanks to the connection to natural gas of the settlements of Kaskasu, Zhogargy Kaskasu, Keregetas and Kenesaryk, residents of another 1021 houses will be given the opportunity to gain access to natural gas, which will increase the overall percentage of gas coverage to 100%.
Shaimerden Kerimkulov from the village of Kaskasu became one of the first to connect to natural gas and expressed gratitude to the gas workers.
– Everything works perfectly, without glitches, and our house is warm! – shared Sh. Kerimkulov. – Gas warms the house, making it a warm and cozy place to live. It makes our life easier more comfortable, and helps us save.
Another resident of the village of Kaskasu, Miyatbek Nyshanov, who connected, says that thanks to gas, no dirt and ash remains after burning coal or wood.
– When I switched to using gas, I felt the difference in the cleanliness of my home. No longer need to deal with ash and dirt after burning coal or wood. It has made my life easier and caring for my house more accessible. “I am very pleased with this decision,” M. Nyshanbaev shares his impressions.
The length of gas pipelines to populated areas is 65.69 km, with three gas control points and 687 gas control cabinets installed. The Zertas automatic gas distribution station (AGDS) will serve connection points for settlements with a capacity of 35,000 m³/h.
Today, in the Turkestan region, work is being carried out on the ongoing repair of administrative buildings of 12 gas facilities: Tyulkubas, Sairam, Kazygurt, Atakent, Saryagash, Derbisek, Ordabasy, Turkestan, Tolebi, Keles, Abay and Zhetysai. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023.
Efforts to expand access to natural gas in the Tolebi region highlight the importance of improving living conditions for the local population. They are an essential step for the region's development. Connecting to natural gas will improve the environment and relieve villagers from storing coal reserves and removing ash during the heating season.
However, it is essential to pay special attention to safety issues. KazTransGas Aimak JSC sees its mission not only in the uninterrupted supply of gas to the population but also in education on safety issues and urges consumers to be especially careful and attentive when using gas appliances.
