The Chairman of the Board of JSC NC, QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov, participated in the 29th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2024" (OGT-2024). The head of the national company was the keynote speaker at the plenary session.
In his speech, Sanzhar Zharkeshov shared his vision of the prospects for the development of the gas industry in Kazakhstan and the region, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan and interaction between Turkmengaz and QazaqGaz.
"On behalf of the leaders of our countries, we continue to confidently move forward, strengthening cooperation and creating new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnership," he noted.
During the conference, Sanzhar Zharkeshov held fruitful talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues Ashyrguly Begliyev and Chairman of the Turkmengas State Concern Maksat Babayev.
During the meetings, specific steps for implementing joint projects were discussed, and goals for future cooperation were identified. A working group meeting is planned to advance the two countries' gas industry further.
Earlier, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev paid an official visit to Turkmenistan. During the trip, QazaqGaz and Turkmengas signed a strategic agreement to develop the gas industry. This document opens up new horizons for joint projects and strengthens the positions of both countries in the global energy market.
