Chairman of the Management Board of NC QazaqGaz JSC, Alibek Zhamauov, has inspected the progress of construction works at the gas processing plant (GPP) being built at the Kashagan field in the Atyrau region. The inspection was attended by representatives of the general contractor, Kazakh Construction Group LLP (KCG), and its shareholder Integra Construction KZ LLP.
Contractors provided updated information on the status of construction and installation works and outlined plans to achieve key project milestones by the end of this year. According to KCG CEO Nurlan Zhalbirov, active efforts are underway to increase the number of workers from subcontracting organisations.
“We are currently carrying out concrete foundation works, installing process equipment, constructing engineering and external utility networks, water supply and sewerage systems. Metal structure assembly and painting works are also ongoing. We are expanding the number of employees on night shifts and continuing to engage subcontractors for specialised activities, including pipeline and electrical installation works,” he noted.
Mr Zhamauov emphasised the importance of further accelerating construction progress. He instructed the team to strengthen supervision of construction and installation activities, and drew particular attention to compliance with industrial and fire safety standards.
