Senior executives from QazaqGaz and representatives of NCOC visited the construction site of the new gas processing plant (GPP), which will have a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters and is designed to process gas from the Kashagan field.
During the visit, representatives from the general contractor, Kazakh Construction Group, presented construction timelines and upcoming work volumes to Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of QazaqGaz, Edwin Blom, Executive Advisor for Major Capital Projects at QazaqGaz, and members of the NCOC team.
The delegation reviewed the current status of the project and discussed its long-term prospects. The visit also included participation in the project’s weekly production meeting, which involved the design firm and equipment suppliers.
Kazakh Construction Group reported accelerated progress on installation and welding operations. Equipment orders have been placed for four additional packages (totaling 196 units), with deliveries expected in February 2026.
At present, the site is actively undergoing foundation works, installation of steel structures and equipment, assembly of RVS-5000 and RVS-1000 storage tanks, 600 m³ spherical tanks, pipeline tie-ins, and the installation of external water supply and sewage systems.
To maintain construction momentum, a night shift has been introduced, involving approximately 130 workers. Overall, more than 1,700 personnel and around 302 pieces of equipment are currently engaged on site.
